| Customer Reviews: adequate December 4, 2007 Todd A. Stevens (Apple Valley, MN United States) 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
These skates meet the needs of informal skaters - offering lots of ankle support and are comfortable. The binding is a bit unusal in that there are laces, a velcro strap and a clamp at the top. Seems to work well enough, though the laces don't last long because of the velcro.
They also require sharpening before using (I think this is standard with new skates, but it surprised me).
The previous review was spot-on in the sizing of these skates, I had to return mine also for an exchange to a larger size. The seller handled this promptly enough, but I did need to pay another $10 in shipping to return them.
Nice Skate, but runs small December 13, 2006 Chad J. Guenther (Madison, WI) 11 out of 11 found this review helpful
This skate runs one full size small, I wear a 10 in everything and I had to send it back for an 11. The quality seems to be good and it is very stiff laterally, which I was worried about prior to purchasing. The crank fastening system at the top is great for cinching the skate tighter than I would be able to with laces, and it's easier out in the cold weather since you don't have to remove your gloves. I don't play, just skate recreationally, and this skate is perfect for that.
